Wire Termination Labor
When estimating commercial and industrial electrical projects it is important to account for the labor (time) it takes to terminate wires. (Wire Termination Labor)
Wire termination or wire make-up is a process that takes time. Of course the larger the wire size, the more labor (time) it takes to terminate.
1. Cut wires to length
2. Strip insulation back
3. Dress wires or cables and make
4. Terminate wires to lugs or terminal strips
5. Torque (To manufacture specifications)
6. Label or color code conductors
Red Rhino Electrical Estimating Software has wire termination labor built in for wire sizes from #14 wire to 1000 MCM wire.
